Minimum System Requirements

  • Pentium 4 3GHZ or higher processor (Core 2 Duo or higher recommended)
  • 1GB Minimum of RAM for workstations / 2 GB Minimum of RAM for Servers
  • Windows XP Professional SP3 or better or Windows 2003 Server SP2 or higher Operating system
  • 15” LCD or CRT Monitor or Higher
  • Internet access recommended for support and software updates
Advantage operates in both peer-to-peer or dedicated server environments. Data is entered at any workstation and stored on the main server. In a peer-to-peer environment, the main server may also be used as a workstation.

Training
Even though Advantage is so easy to use most staff members self-train with the aid of the provided operations manual as well as the systems help file, Vetech also offers telephone or on-site staff training for those who prefer the personal touch. Vetech will work with you to provide training at times that is convenient for the practice

Data Conversion
Vetech will convert the data from your current system eliminating the need to re-enter client and patients or their reminders. We have converted data from all major software companies as well as many minor and custom systems. To begin the conversion process, we will require a current backup of your data. Once we receive your backup, we will determine and discuss the type of data that may be converted to Advantage from your current system. The conversion fee will vary based on the type of data stored on your current system as well as the data files that you request be converted to Advantage (clients, patients, reminders, transaction history, inventory and codes, medical history, etc.).

Service Codes
Vetech will assist you in getting started on your fee schedule (service codes for inventory and procedures). Simply select from one of our pre-defined databases, or customize your own. FAX us a copy of your current fee schedule and note any changes – We will set up a limited number of categories and service codes to get you started. Extensive service code set up may also be available.

Vetech Premium Support
Includes unlimited calls to our toll-free number, online support, software upgrades and monthly newsletters. If you have internet, Vetech can also remotely access your system to perform diagnostics. Upgrades are provided on the average of two times a year and can be easily downloaded.
